Passage Theatre is a showcase for many of today's most provocative playwrights, both emerging and established. As a key participant in the revitalization of urban Trenton, we present outstanding plays that celebrate experiences common to all and transcend culture and race.

The theatre supports education that enhance the lives and aspirations of Trenton's youth and families, and helps develop playwrights and other theatre artists through an extensive program of readings, workshops, and support groups.

Passage is committed to developing provocative new plays by both emerging and established playwrights.  Taking advantage of its location near New York, Philadelphia, and Princeton, Passage allows new plays to be developed in a friendly venue that is easily accessed by top designers, actors, directors, critics, and others necessary to the development of new plays.
